Our organisation ‘International Adi Shankaracharya Research & Awareness Foundation’ have launched a grand 750 km footwalk from New Delhi to Mata Vaishno Devi, India to honor the efforts of Adi Shankaracharya Ji. This footwalk is led by Swami Keshvananda Ji, along with the support of Acharya Madan Ji and disciples of Swami Kesvananda Ji. This is first footwalk organized in India from New Delhi to Mata Vaishno Devi, J&K, India for Adi-Shankaracharya Ji and to carry forward his teachings to our new generation to preserve & restore the respect towards our religion. This grand footwalk is inaugurated by pious hands of ‘Srimad Jagadguru Shankaracharya Anantshri Vibhushit Swamy Amrutanand Devtirth Ji Maharaj‘, Sharada Peeth, Kashmir, India. In his opening speech, he describes the importance of Sharada Peeth, Kashmir & the spiritual connection of Adi-Shankaracharya Ji with Sharada Peeth, Kashmir to the audience. He congratulated our organisation & Swami Keshvananda Ji to organise this kind of event to restore our religion with its integrity & glory and to honor the efforts of Adi-Shankaracharya Ji. Disciples and followers offered our religious leaders with flowers garlands and received blessings from them. He also motivated Swami Keshvananda Ji to perform these kind of events, seminars, workshops at global level to unite the Hindu’s across the globe.
Our large number of disciples & followers joined this event with devotion & extended their support with their presence and respect towards the religious saints of India. Swami Keshvananda ji thanked all the religious leaders in the event, invitees, devotees, & organizers and shared his views for Adi-Shankaracharya Ji, aims of our organisation, our roadmap etc. He explained the reason of organizing our first event in India despite of having our organisation registered in The Hague, Netherlands. Despite of the fact Swami Keshvananda Ji spends most of his time in Netherlands devoting more time for his spirituality, astrology, reading about Adi-Shankaracharya Ji, he wanted to do an event on larger scale where he can broadcast his spiritual & peaceful message to all without hurting anyone’s feeling – he decided to do a footwalk in India in the form of a pilgrimage to seek blessings of Goddess Durga (signifies power & removes obstacles) so that on the way, he reach out to large audience to spread his message of harmony. Another reason to organize this event in India is that Adi-Shankaracharya Ji was born in India & Swami Keshvananda Ji being an Indian, wanted to perform his first event in his country of birth, his motherland India.
The footwalk is going great with full enthusiasm and devotion. Our organisation and Swami Keshvananda Ji is getting enormous well-wishes and motivation from our followers and across the country. Following are our milestones during this footwalk in each state:
- On the day we started in New Delhi, walked approx. 40 km and stayed at the city, Sonipat, Haryana. We had homemade refreshments like Tea & Snacks from one of our followers.
